1. Who these terms are with

These terms are an agreement between you and the Splatline publisher identified in the developer details on the App Store or Google Play listing from which you obtained the app (“we”, “us” or “our”), for the Splatline mobile game and related services.

This version of the terms has been reviewed only for United Kingdom. Store availability must not be expanded until the terms and other requirements for additional countries have been reviewed.

2. Eligibility and acceptance

Splatline is a mixed/general-audience game. Players under 18 can use the complete local core game in private mode, with no advertising or in-app purchase. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to review these terms with you. If the law where you live says you cannot make this agreement yourself, a parent or guardian must agree on your behalf.

Adult mode presents a clear notice beside its continue action and stores the accepted version locally. Private mode presents a child-facing summary and access to these terms, but does not pretend that a child's button press creates a contract where local law requires a parent or guardian to agree. Do not use Splatline if the person who must agree does not accept these terms. Store terms from Apple or Google also apply to downloads and purchases; if a mandatory store term conflicts with these terms, that store term controls to the extent of the conflict.

3. Your licence

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Splatline on supported devices for private, non-commercial play, subject to these terms and the applicable store rules.

You must not:

• copy, sell, sublicense or commercially exploit the game or its assets except where applicable law expressly allows;
• reverse engineer, bypass security, manipulate ad or purchase systems, automate play, or obtain rewards dishonestly;
• interfere with the app, providers, another user or store systems; or
• use Splatline unlawfully or in a way that infringes another person’s rights.

Mandatory rights to study or make interoperable software are not restricted where they cannot lawfully be excluded.

4. Gameplay, lives and virtual gifts

Levels, lives, continues, points, paint items and gifts are gameplay features. They have no cash value, are not property, cannot be transferred or exchanged outside the game, and are not a wager or prize of money.

Core progress, including the unlocked-level frontier and best results used for the local painting gallery, is stored locally. Deleting Splatline, clearing app storage, changing device or losing a device may permanently erase progress because this release has no player account or cloud save. A device or platform backup may restore some data, but we do not guarantee it.

Private mode includes ordinary gifts, lives, the free continue and complete level progression without ads or purchase prompts. Adult mode can additionally offer an optional ad-funded random gift or further continue. Random extra gifts can include duplicates; the possible items and selection probabilities must be shown before an adult chooses the rewarded ad. The current disclosure is on Ads & rewards.

5. Advertising and optional rewards

This section applies only to adult mode. The adult free version can contain full-screen advertising at natural breaks and offer a voluntary rewarded ad for an extra random gift or an additional continue after the free continue has been used. Rewarded ads are always optional; declining one does not take away a reward already earned through ordinary play or prevent access to the complete local core game.

An earned rewarded-ad benefit is granted only after the ad provider confirms completion. An eligible ad may be unavailable because of region, connectivity, consent status or inventory. We do not guarantee that an ad or optional ad-funded benefit will always be available. We may reduce ad frequency for safety, pacing, technical or policy reasons.

Every under-18 player uses private mode. Splatline does not call Google UMP, request or load Google ads, or call RevenueCat purchase APIs in private mode, and shows no ad, rewarded-ad prompt or in-app purchase. Its ordinary lives, gifts and complete level progression remain playable locally, and optional fixed Rapid 3 extra-gift or later-continue benefits are provided directly at the equivalent point without advertising. The native service libraries remain included in the distributed app and may perform essential platform startup.

If an adult corrects the on-device age setting to an under-18 date after adult services started in that app process, Splatline saves the private choice, suspends its JavaScript-owned ad objects and listeners, and blocks further play until the app is fully closed and reopened. This restart boundary does not claim that native SDK configuration can be reversed inside the existing process; private gameplay resumes only on the following fresh private launch.

6. One-time “remove ads” purchase

This optional product is offered only to adults in adult mode. “Remove ads” is intended to be a non-consumable, one-time in-app purchase. The store shows the price and currency that apply to you before checkout; a UK list-price target does not guarantee the same numerical price in every country. Apple or Google processes payment, tax, family-purchase settings and the store-billed transaction. We do not receive your full payment-card details. For a store-billed purchase, you can use Apple’s refund request route or Google Play’s refund route, or contact us for support and any remedy within our control. These routes and their eligibility rules are not exclusive remedies: using them, not using them, or receiving a store decision does not waive any mandatory consumer right or remedy you have against us.

While your entitlement is active and Splatline remains available on the relevant platform, remove ads provides:

• no interstitial, rewarded or other advertising in Splatline; and
• a fixed Rapid 3 at the optional extra-gift point and direct later continues without watching an ad, subject to the same gameplay timing and limits.

The purchase is non-expiring: we do not impose a subscription or renewal date. “Forever” means for the supported lifetime of Splatline on the store platform where it was bought, associated with the store account and purchase record. It does not promise that every device, store or the game itself will exist forever. Nothing in this paragraph limits a refund, repair, replacement or other remedy required by consumer law.

In adult mode, use Restore purchases in Settings after reinstalling or changing device, signed in to the same Apple or Google account used to buy. Because Splatline has no cross-platform account, an Apple purchase does not automatically transfer to Google Play, or vice versa. 7. Availability and updates

We may correct bugs, balance levels, add or retire free content, change presentation, reduce advertising or make safety and legal changes. Compatible JavaScript, styling and image updates may arrive through Expo Application Services between store releases. Native functionality, permissions and other changes that require a new binary are distributed through the app stores.

We will not use an update to turn the non-expiring remove-ads product into a subscription or knowingly reintroduce ads for a valid entitlement. We may temporarily suspend features to address security, legal, provider or technical problems. Internet and third-party service availability are outside our full control.

8. Ownership

Splatline, including its code, characters, artwork, audio, text, level design and marks, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law. Your licence does not transfer ownership. Device screenshots or paintings created using game tools may be kept and shared for personal purposes, but you must not falsely claim ownership of our underlying assets or use them commercially without permission.

If you send optional feedback, you allow us to use it without payment to improve Splatline. This does not transfer ownership of unrelated material you create.

9. Third-party services

Splatline relies on Apple or Google for distribution and Expo for compatible app updates. In adult mode only, it can also use Apple or Google purchasing, Google AdMob for advertising and consent messaging, and RevenueCat for entitlement management. In private mode Splatline does not call UMP, request or load an ad, or call RevenueCat product, purchase, restore or entitlement APIs; the bundled native libraries may still perform essential platform startup. Their own terms and notices apply to their services. A link or share-sheet destination is not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for content or conduct outside Splatline.

10. Quality, consumer rights and liability

We will provide Splatline with reasonable care and skill and as described, subject to normal device, network and provider limitations. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other law that applies to you.

If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of that failure or our lack of reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business loss arising from consumer use, or for problems caused by unsupported devices, unauthorised modifications, your breach, or events outside our reasonable control.

We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or breach of statutory consumer rights.

11. Ending use

You can stop using and uninstall Splatline at any time. We may withdraw access to future versions if you materially or repeatedly break these terms, misuse adult-mode ads or purchases, or create security or legal risk. Where reasonable, we will explain and allow an appeal through support. Ending use does not erase store transaction or entitlement records and does not remove rights or obligations that logically continue.

12. Changes, governing law and disputes

We may revise these terms for new features, provider or legal changes. We will show the new version for acceptance before it applies where the change is material. Changes do not retrospectively remove statutory rights or a paid remove-ads entitlement.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep any mandatory protection of your home law and may bring proceedings in any court available under that law. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a problem informally; this does not restrict your right to use a court, regulator or statutory dispute process.

Alternative dispute resolution (ADR): Not applicable — I do not subscribe to a certified alternative dispute resolution scheme. You keep all of your statutory consumer rights and may bring a claim in the courts. Where law or a contract requires us to participate in a particular complaint-resolution arrangement, we will identify that arrangement when communicating the outcome of an unresolved complaint. ADR is not imposed as a mandatory substitute for any court or statutory route available to you.
