Ads, rewards & random gifts
Under-18s play the complete local core game in private mode with no ads or purchase service. Adult free mode can use full-screen ads; an optional adult purchase removes every ad.

In private mode Splatline does not call Google UMP, request or load Google ads, or call RevenueCat purchase APIs. The native libraries remain bundled and may perform essential platform startup. In adult mode, an interstitial is never scheduled in the middle of active puzzle input. Gallery replays can improve a painting's best rating but do not repeat campaign XP, streak credit, gifts or automatic interstitial checkpoints. Ads are not shown while an adult remove-ads entitlement is still being checked; a loading, consent or network failure must not block normal level completion.
Adult rewarded ads are optional
Rewarded ads are offered only to an adult in adult free mode. Private mode contains no ad or rewarded-ad prompt.
- The button states the benefit before the ad begins.
- Closing or declining does not remove an ordinary gift, score, life or progress already earned.
- The reward is granted only after Google confirms the required ad event. Watching part of an ad may not qualify.
- Each additional gift or continue requires its own choice; Splatline does not preselect the option.
- No eligible ad may be available because of region, connection, privacy choice or inventory. The app does not guarantee optional ad-funded benefits.
If an ad reports completion but the promised reward does not appear, use the reporting steps on the Support page.
Random gift pool and odds
In adult free mode, the production app must show the same current gift pool and probabilities before the player starts the rewarded ad. Random selection can produce a duplicate unless the in-app disclosure expressly says otherwise. A gift cannot be sold, transferred, exchanged for money or used outside Splatline. It is not purchased with money, although an adult free-mode player chooses to spend time watching an ad. Private mode and adult remove-ads mode do not use this random pool for the direct extra: each receives a fixed Rapid 3.
If the pool or probabilities change, this page and the in-app pre-ad disclosure must be updated together before the change reaches players.
Advertising privacy
This section applies only to adult mode. For adults, Splatline can use Google AdMob and Google’s User Messaging Platform. The release described here is intended to request only non-personalized ads after the applicable consent and privacy-choice gates, not cross-app behavioural tracking. Where UMP reports that the European-regulations choices apply, including in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Splatline makes no Google Limited Ad request if either required publisher choice is refused or missing. Ad technology can still process data needed to request, deliver, measure and protect ads—including IP address, general location inferred from IP, app interactions, diagnostics and some device or app identifiers—subject to device settings, configuration and consent.
Where required for an adult, a Google-certified consent message appears before ad requests. It must make accepting and refusing equally clear and lists the configured ad vendors. An adult can later use Settings → Privacy and cookie settings. A privacy choice is separate from accepting the Service Terms. See the Privacy Notice for lawful bases, recipients, retention and rights.
Private mode and adult mode
Splatline is a mixed/general-audience game and does not claim not to be directed to children. An on-device age check uses and stores only a birth year and the resulting private-mode or adult-mode band. Every under-18 player enters private mode: no app-level UMP, ad-request or RevenueCat purchase calls, no ads, no rewarded-ad prompts and no in-app purchase. The bundled native libraries may still perform essential platform startup. The complete local core game remains playable. Splatline is not enrolled in Apple’s Kids Category. Its Google Play audience must be declared truthfully and reviewed against all applicable Families rules.
An adult-to-private correction made after adult services started is held at a restart boundary: JavaScript ad objects and listeners are suspended, the private band is saved, and gameplay remains blocked until Splatline is fully closed and reopened. Splatline does not claim that native SDK setup can be undone inside that existing process.
What “remove ads” means
This optional purchase is offered only to adults in adult mode. The one-time, non-consumable purchase removes all interstitial and rewarded advertising in Splatline. It also provides a fixed Rapid 3 at the optional extra-gift point and direct later continues without making the purchaser watch an ad. It is not a subscription. The store displays the local price and processes the store-billed payment. Its refund route is a practical request channel, not a waiver of any mandatory consumer remedy against us.
The entitlement can normally be restored on the same platform using the same Apple or Google account. There is no Splatline account, so an Apple purchase does not automatically transfer to Google Play or vice versa. Full purchase terms are in section 6 of the current Service Terms.
Report an unsuitable or broken ad
Contact admin@revisiongoat.com with the device platform, approximate date and time, level, what happened and—if safe—a screenshot. Do not include sensitive information or an advertising identifier. Tell us immediately if an ad is inappropriate for Splatline’s declared content rating, deceptive, impossible to close or outside the moments described above.
