Let’s get the paint moving
Splatline support
Help with private mode, local progress, notifications and saved paintings, plus adult-mode purchases, ads, rewards and privacy choices.
Contact support
Email admin@revisiongoat.com.
Adults, parents and guardians can include the device platform (iPhone/iPad or Android), Splatline version, a short description and steps that reproduce the problem. Send only what is needed. Do not send passwords, full card details, a complete store receipt, advertising identifiers or other sensitive information unless we first explain why a specific item is necessary.
Private-mode and child support
For an ordinary private-mode support question, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us on the player’s behalf. A child should not email us a screenshot, photo, audio recording, full name, birth date, home address, precise location, school, account or advertising identifier, identity document, password, card information or store receipt.
A child may still contact us to exercise a privacy right, make a complaint or report an urgent safety concern. If a child sends an ordinary support message directly, we use it only to handle that contact, do not ask for more personal information, and normally send at most one brief reply asking a parent or guardian to continue. We then delete the message and attachments from the active mailbox and Trash promptly, normally within seven calendar days, unless a rights request, complaint, safeguarding concern or legal duty requires restricted handling for longer.
Rights, repeated contact and safeguarding concerns are escalated before further contact. A safeguarding exception may require us to preserve or share the minimum necessary information to protect a child. Deleted messages may remain in protected provider backups only for Deleted support messages may remain in Google Workspace backups for up to about 25 days before they are permanently removed.
Restore “remove ads”
This section is for an adult using adult mode. In private mode Splatline does not call RevenueCat product, purchase, restore or entitlement APIs, offer a purchase or show a restore-purchases control.
- Confirm the device is signed in to the same Apple or Google account that made the purchase.
- Open Splatline, go to Settings, and choose Restore purchases.
- Wait for confirmation before closing the app. Restoration should not charge you again.
- If it still fails, restart the device, check store connectivity, and try once more.
If support is needed, send the platform, approximate purchase date and the store’s order identifier with unnecessary personal details obscured. Never email full card details. Apple and Google purchases are separate because Splatline has no cross-platform account.
For a store-billed purchase, you can use Apple’s refund request guidance or Google Play’s refund guidance. You can also contact us for support and any remedy within our control. A store request route, its eligibility policy, or a store decision is not an agreement to give up a mandatory refund, repair, replacement, price reduction or other remedy you may have against us under applicable consumer law.
A rewarded ad finished but the reward is missing
This can occur only in adult free mode. Private mode never shows a rewarded-ad prompt.
First return to the game and wait a few seconds. Do not immediately watch another ad solely to replace the missing reward.
If it is still missing, contact support with:
- whether it was an extra gift or continue;
- the approximate date, time and level;
- the device platform and Splatline version;
- whether the ad reached its completion message; and
- a screenshot, if safe and available.
Do not send an advertising identifier. We will use the minimum information available to investigate.
Report an unsuitable ad
Adult-mode users should tell us promptly if an ad is inappropriate for Splatline’s declared content rating, deceptive, disturbing, impossible to close, repeatedly shown, or appears during active level input. Include the approximate time, platform, level and a screenshot if it can be captured safely. We can use those details to investigate with the ad provider without asking for your advertising identifier.
If any ad or ad prompt appears in private mode, stop interacting with it and ask a parent or guardian to report that as a privacy defect. A child should not capture or send a screenshot.
For the planned frequency and reward rules, read Ads & rewards.
Progress or settings disappeared
Splatline stores game progress and settings on the device. There is no player account or Splatline cloud save. Uninstalling, clearing app storage, resetting the device or moving to another device can erase progress. A platform backup may restore it, but support cannot recover a copy from a Splatline server because no such copy exists.
For an adult who bought remove ads, the purchase is different: it is tied to the relevant store transaction and can normally be restored in adult mode using the steps above.
Change advertising privacy choices
This section is for adult mode. Open Settings → Privacy and cookie settings in Splatline. If Google’s privacy-options message is required and available for the device, it lets you revisit the advertising choices. The website cannot change the SDK’s stored choice.
In private mode Splatline does not call Google UMP or request or load an ad, so there is no advertising choice to revisit. Google’s native library remains included in the app and may perform essential platform startup.
To exercise a data protection right, email admin@revisiongoat.com with the request. Read the Privacy Notice rights section first: because there is no account, we may hold little or no information that we can connect to you.
Request deletion of Splatline data
Splatline is published by the developer identified in its Google Play or App Store listing. It does not create a Splatline account or upload your game progress, paintings or birth year to a Splatline gameplay database. You can still ask us to delete personal information that we or a service provider can reasonably connect to you.
How to make a deletion request
- Email admin@revisiongoat.com with the subject Splatline data deletion request.
- Say whether the request concerns a support message, an adult “remove ads” purchase, or both. A parent or guardian should make an ordinary request for a private-mode player.
- For support data, send the email from the same address used to contact us. For a purchase record, include the platform, approximate purchase date and only the minimum store order information we request. Do not send a password, full payment-card details, identity document or complete receipt.
- We will confirm what we can identify, ask only for reasonably necessary verification, and respond within the applicable legal time limit.
Data normally deleted
- Support or privacy-request emails, issue details and voluntary attachments that we can identify, unless an exception below applies.
- An identifiable anonymous RevenueCat customer record within our control, where deletion is legally permitted. Deleting it may prevent Splatline from restoring the non-expiring remove-ads entitlement.
- Any diagnostic report deliberately emailed to support that remains attached to the identified support record.
Local data you delete on the device
Clear Splatline’s app storage or uninstall the app to remove device-local progress, paintings, preferences, the entered birth year and age band. A device or platform backup may keep a separate copy under your Apple or Google backup settings. Because we do not receive this local data, emailing us cannot remove it from your device or backup.
Data kept or controlled elsewhere
- Apple or Google controls app-store transaction records. We cannot delete those records, and the store may retain them for payment, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention or legal purposes.
- We may retain the minimum information needed for an unresolved dispute, fraud or security investigation, safeguarding concern, legal claim, tax or accounting duty, or to demonstrate that a rights request was handled. We will explain the applicable reason when we respond.
- Advertising data that we cannot reasonably identify as belonging to the requester is handled through Google’s privacy choices and applicable platform controls rather than a Splatline account.
Retention after deletion
Identified support data approved for deletion is removed from the active support mailbox and Trash without undue delay. An ordinary unsolicited child support message follows the shorter period described above: normally within seven calendar days after the permitted brief reply or a decision that no reply is needed. Deleted mailbox content may remain in protected Google Workspace backups for up to about 25 further days before permanent removal. Provider security backups and records that must be retained follow the provider’s or store’s documented schedule and the applicable legal requirement. See the Privacy Notice retention section for the ordinary periods that apply before a valid deletion request.
Notifications
Splatline asks for notification permission only in context. Change permission in the device’s Splatline notification settings. The release uses optional local reminders and does not maintain a Splatline marketing push list.
Saving or sharing a painting
Every completed painting remains available in Splatline’s on-device studio gallery. In adult mode, choose Save only when you want Splatline to add the current painting to the device photo library. On Android 7–12, adult-mode Save opens the permission-free operating-system destination chooser instead of requesting broad legacy storage access. Adult-mode Share opens the operating-system share sheet; content then goes only to the destination you select, subject to that destination’s privacy terms.
Private mode does not show external Share. Private-mode Save uses the direct add-only photo-library route on iOS and Android 13 or later. On Android 7–12 it does not open the broader destination chooser, so the painting remains in the on-device studio gallery but cannot be exported from that screen. Splatline keeps at most one strictly size-bounded set of compact painting instructions for each completed level captured on this device. A legacy completion created before painting capture was available keeps its statistics and shows a labelled reconstruction until that level is replayed. If direct photo access is denied on a supported system, use the device’s Splatline permission settings to change it.
Age check
Splatline is a mixed/general-audience game. The on-device check uses and stores only an entered birth year and the resulting private-mode or adult-mode band. Every under-18 player can continue into private mode and play the complete local core game. In that mode the app makes no UMP, ad initialization/request/load, or RevenueCat product/purchase/restore/entitlement call and shows no ad or in-app purchase. The native libraries remain bundled and may perform essential platform startup before the app's JavaScript age gate runs.
If the birth year was entered incorrectly, use the in-app age-correction option where available. Otherwise, clearing the app’s local storage allows the neutral check to run again, but also erases local game progress. An adult who previously bought remove ads can restore it after returning truthfully to adult mode.
When a correction changes an already-running adult session to private mode, Splatline saves the corrected band and stops its JavaScript ad objects and listeners, then shows a restart-required screen. Fully close Splatline from the device’s app switcher or recent-apps view and reopen it. Backgrounding the app, returning to the home screen or using a JavaScript reload is not the promised native-process boundary. Game progress is not deleted.
Accessibility or safety feedback
Contact us if a control, puzzle, animation, colour, sound, ad or legal explanation is difficult to use or understand. Adults can describe the assistive technology and device if comfortable. For a private-mode player, please ask a parent or guardian to send ordinary technical feedback; a child may still contact us about their privacy rights or an urgent safety concern without sending a screenshot or other unnecessary personal information.
